Gravity racks are a more convenient type of storage racks among heavy-duty racks. They all use non-powered forms, no energy consumption, low noise, safe and reliable, and can operate at full load. They are also called gravity roller racks.
Gravity racks are composed of columns, beams and roller tracks. The gravity roller tracks are installed on the beams. Each compartment of the gravity rack is a chute with a certain slope. The slope is generally 3°-5°. The road can store several cargo units. When entering the warehouse, the stacker or forklift transports the cargo unit into the warehouse end (high end), and the cargo unit slides from the inbound end to the outbound end under the action of gravity, until it reaches the outbound end of the chute. There is a cargo unit behind; when leaving the warehouse, a stacker or forklift will take away a cargo unit located in front of the outbound end (lower end), and the subsequent units will move to the outbound end under gravity. One cargo space, high investment cost, 80% space utilization. Goods storage and retrieval are first-in-first-out, suitable for storing large quantities of goods with many items.
The items of the gravity shelf are stored from the high end, slide to the low end, and then taken out from the lower end. During the sliding of the goods, a damper is set on the slide to control the sliding speed of the goods to be kept within a safe range. A separator is installed at the shipping end of the chute, and the handling machinery can smoothly take out the goods on the front board. Gravity racks are suitable for storage operations with pallets as carriers. The goods are stacked neatly and provide a better solution for the storage of large and heavy objects. The storage space utilization rate is above 75%, and only one inbound and outbound channel is required.
Because the heavy duty rack is made of high-quality cold-rolled steel plate by rolling, the column can be as high as 6 meters without a joint in the middle. The beam is made of high-quality square steel, which has a large bearing capacity and is not easy to deform. The pendant between the beam and the column is a cylindrical convex insertion. Heavy duty rack installation details:
1. The overall shelf should be adjusted horizontally and vertically until it meets the standards.
2. The beam load-bearing test should be done if required by the contract to measure the deflection.
3. For those with stacker cranes, perform alignment test runs.
4. The coating leakage, peeling and abrasion of a small area on the surface of the component should be repainted.
5. All fasteners should be tightened, and the bolts will expose 2-4 pitches of the nuts. After the countersunk head screws are tightened, the countersunk heads should be buried in the components and not exposed.
