Storage racks are different from industries such as clothing and accessories. Consumers only care about their appearance and feel. When choosing a storage rack, they value its ability to store goods, durability, and whether it can improve the work efficiency of the enterprise. Therefore, we need to understand the daily use precautions and maintenance methods of the rack.
Daily maintenance methods for storage racks:
1. In order to maintain the appearance of the outside of the racks and protect the inside of the racks, a layer of protective paint is sprayed on the surface when customizing the racks. Warehouse management personnel should regularly check whether the paint has fallen off, the warehouse racks have rusted, and screws are loose. Protective paint should be applied regularly to reduce rusting, and timely ventilation should be done to ensure that the warehouse is not excessively damp.
2. Avoid excessive sunlight exposure, ventilate the racks reasonably, and prevent wet goods from being placed on the warehouse racks. Drainage and dehumidification should be done as much as possible.
3. Provide a set of anti-collision pillars according to different racks, channel widths, and transportation tools. Install anti-collision guardrails at the passage location.
4. Do not overload the racks. The weight of the goods placed on the racks must be within the load-bearing capacity of the warehouse racks. It is recommended that the warehouse staff make load-bearing and load limiting labels on the racks, and also follow the principle of placing heavy objects at the bottom and light objects at the top of the warehouse racks, that is, placing heavy objects at the bottom and light objects at the top.
5. Achieve standardized driving and operation. Both heavy-duty and high-rise rack warehouses must be equipped with powered lifting trucks, and the use and operation of lifting trucks must only be operated by certified personnel. The vast majority of the deformation of warehouse racks and columns due to collisions is caused by non designated personnel using pushers.
6. Develop a management system for the use of storage racks, with individual responsibilities assigned. Customize different systems and management methods for different warehouses and goods, striving to achieve comprehensive protection of racks and extend their service life. In addition, every rack staff must strictly comply with relevant regulations, not only to maintain the racks, but also to protect their own safety.
Storage racks are consumables, and their cost is also a major expense for enterprises. We have an obligation to maintain them properly.
