Because the various storage and retrieval operations in the warehouse are mainly completed by transportation. Therefore, when purchasing storage racks and other storage equipment, it is necessary to consider whether the storage racks and handling equipment are coordinated. For example, the stacker is a general handling equipment, such as the lifting height and weight of the machine, and the turning radius of some storage equipment. The aisle width of the storage rack will directly affect the selection of the stacker, whether it is a counterweight or a narrow aisle.
Then, judge from the quantity of goods and so on. Some types of storage shelves have good storage density, but the quantity of goods entering and leaving the warehouse is not high, which is suitable for low frequency operations. Other storage shelves have the opposite function, so it is necessary to arrange them according to the situation. The large volume of incoming and outgoing goods is a very important data, which is an important consideration in choosing the form of storage shelves.
1. According to the installation method of storage shelves, it can be divided into:
(1) Fixed shelves: Fixed shelves can be subdivided into shelf type, tray type, through type, gravity type, press-in type, loft type, steel structure platform type, cantilever type, mobile type, drawer type and corbel type rack.
(2) Mobile racks: Mobile racks can be subdivided into mobile racks and rotating racks. Among them, mobile racks can be subdivided into light and medium-sized mobile racks (also called dense racks, divided into manual and electric), heavy pallet mobile racks, and rotating racks. Subdivided into horizontal rotating shelves and heavy direct rotating shelves.
2. According to the overall structure of the shelf, it can be divided into:
(1) Welding shelves.
(2) Assembled shelves.
3. According to the warehouse structure, it can be divided into:
(1) Storage racks in one type rack. The shelf system and the roof of the building form an inseparable whole, the roof load is directly supported by the shelf columns, and the building’s wall structure is installed on both sides of the columns.
(2) Separate structural shelves. Shelf system and building are two independent systems, there is no direct connection between them.
4. According to the carrying capacity of each shelf, it can be roughly divided into:
(1) Light-duty shelves: The carrying capacity of each layer does not exceed 200 kg.
(2) Medium-sized shelves: The carrying capacity of each layer is 200 to 500 kg.
(3) Heavy-duty racks: The carrying capacity of each layer is above 500 kg.
5. According to the height of the shelf, it can be divided into:
(1) Low shelf: The height is less than 5m.
(2) Middle and low shelf: the height is less than 5m.
(3) High shelf: 5~12 meters high.
(4) Super high shelf: more than 12 meters.
