How to set the height of warehouse shelves

When buying a shelf, when you encounter a warehouse shelf manufacturer, you will ask how high the shelf you want, and then ask the effective height of the warehouse or the height of the warehouse floor to the beam. You will definitely have some questions? Why ask about the effective height of the warehouse?

The reason? I will list them next:

1. Warehouse height: the height of the low end of the warehouse must be about two meters higher than the shelf column, because the top of the warehouse shelf needs to store goods, and if the low end of the warehouse does not have a ceiling light, it must be ensured that the goods above the beam and the top There is a certain distance between them.

2. Lifting height of the forklift: When planning the warehouse, the shelf manufacturer needs to understand the forklift model currently used in the warehouse, the turning radius, the lifting height, and the load requirements that the forklift can meet.

3. Storage capacity required by customers: Many companies in the early stages of development have small storage capacity and do not need too many storage spaces. In the early stage, they may not consider making full use of warehouse space, but as long as they meet the storage requirements, there is no need to fully consider Warehouse height, wait until the business volume increases in the later stage, and then carry out the height of heavy shelves, increase the warehouse storage space, and expand the warehouse storage capacity.

The design of the length of the beam shelf:

(1) To understand the specifications of the pallet, if the goods exceed the pallet, it should be calculated based on the excess size.

(2) Generally, each layer is designed to put two pallets, the interval between pallets and pallets is 70-100MM (the interval between high shelves is 100MM, and the shorter shelves can be 70MM). If the length of the pallet is small (such as 800MM), three pallets per layer can be considered.

(3) Formula: L=Length of pallet*2 (70-100)*3 (Number of intervals) Design of width of beam type shelf:

(1) Calculate based on the actual size of the tray width.

(2) If the customer requires the addition of spanning beams, steel plate and wood planks and other accessories, the shelf width can be designed to be the same size as the pallet width.

(3) Formula: D = pallet width-200MM.
