Five things can calculate how many factory shelves can be placed in the warehouse

When purchasing factory shelves, estimate how many shelves can be placed in the warehouse, but don’t know how to start. Now, the shelf factory introduces the method of calculating how many factory shelves can be, for reference only.

Determine the shelf size, number of layers, and carrying capacity.

Different industries have different forms of material storage, including cartons, storage partitions, and pallets; and how big is the stored material? How wide is the span required? How heavy is the material? Commonly used factory shelves carry 100-1500kg per layer, which can be 2.5 meters high and 1.2 meters wide. The height can be customized according to the warehouse, and the height of the shelves can also be designed according to the actual situation. Some warehouses are not too limited in height. There is no limit to the number of layers of warehouse shelves. There is a 50mm hole spacing adjustment between the column holes. The height and number of shelves can be determined according to the specifications and height of the stored materials.

Channel distance

(1) If the operation is all manual handling, the channel distance should be greater than the specification of the packing box used on the Shenzhen storage shelf +20cm

(2) If the pallet needs to be placed, the upper layer is handled manually, and the channel distance is the revolving diameter of the “manual forklift + pallet” + 20cm

(3) If an electric forklift is required for transportation, the channel distance is the revolving diameter of “electric forklift + upper pallet” + U-turn safety distance

(4) If a fuel forklift is required, the channel distance is the swivel diameter of fuel forklift + upper pallet + U-turn safety distance

Door entry and exit space

The gate is the only way for all materials to enter and exit the warehouse. Shelves should not be placed in this area. In order to achieve one-time operations, reduce the number of loading and unloading, and shorten the handling distance, sufficient space should be left at the door for forklifts or manual storage of goods. Convenience. The conventional placement method is horizontal and vertical placement. The two placement methods can also be used in different areas to improve efficiency. The placement method is mainly based on improving work efficiency. If the warehouse cannot support this type of placement due to various reasons, it can be negotiated with the supplier to better adapt to the warehouse shelf placement method. All planning can be clearly implemented before design.

Warehouse layout size chart

Before unfolding the warehouse shelf placement diagram, we need to obtain a warehouse layout size diagram provided by the customer. The picture should clearly indicate the total length, width, height and other layouts of the warehouse, such as toilets, equipment, obstacles, etc., which must be clearly marked The span between the size of the warehouse support column and the wall, as well as the direction of the door, how much space should be reserved for easy operation, etc. This drawing is usually provided by the landlord when renting or purchasing the warehouse. It is a CAD drawing. Please don’t worry if you lose this drawing for different reasons.
